GPS tracking is very popular for many different applications
For a correct understanding it is important to know that any GPS tracking device consists of at least two different "blocks". First, of course, a GPS receiver. Second a wireless modem or a cell phone, that allows for the transfer of location information from the device to the person who wants to know this information.
From the start of our website in 2003 we knew LandAirSea. Now they have rebuilt their website and this makes it clear for every visitor that LandAirSea really does GPS Tracking at all levels. We recommend their new website, their products, and their information to our readers.
GPS car tracking is one of the oldest tracking applications, as the dimensions and weight of the devices are less critical for installation in a car. On our "GPS car tracking" page we describe several different types.
One of our favorite GPS tracking applications is GPS Wildlife Tracking. On our "GPS wildlife tracking" page there are examples of collars for the biggest mammals to very small devices for birds.
"Personal GPS locators" operate on the same principle, but most have a Panic Button and/or some large buttons to initiate a voice communication with pre-programmed phone numbers. And for these locators the weight and dimensions are really important.
"Teen car tracking" devices are the same as ordinary car tracking devices, but often they do not only report the location, but also other parameters such as speed and acceleration/deceleration.
Weight and dimensions are of extreme importance for "Pet tracking" devices. This is probably the reason why we did not discover any tracking devices for cats yet.
Always the same principle, but a category on its own, are "GPS Offender tracking" devices. They are often worn on an ankle bracelet. Device and bracelet must be tamper-proof.
With more and more cell phones equipped with GPS, we also see more special tracking solutions for GPS phones. What we called "Other GPS tracking" shows some of them.
